Brennan Newkirk
MSW, CSW
Talking about our feelings doesn’t make us weak—it helps us make sense of what we’ve been through, and it’s the first step toward healing and growth. My goal as a therapist is to walk alongside you in that process, creating a safe, nonjudgmental space where you feel supported, cared for, and respected.
I have experience working with teens, young adults, LGBTQIA+ individuals, and adults facing challenges such as anxiety, depression, trauma, personality disorders, low self-esteem, attachment concerns, boundary-setting, family dynamics, identity exploration, and faith transitions.
I draw from a variety of evidence-based approaches, including CBT, DBT, ACT, Motivational Interviewing, and Mindfulness, while also weaving in expressive techniques like cinema, art, and drama therapy. My focus is always on what works best for you, tailoring therapy to your needs and honoring you as the expert in your own life.
My Story
At heart, I’m a theatre kid—expressive, a little quirky, and deeply empathetic. My love for creativity and connection carries into my work as a therapist, where I value authenticity, curiosity, and compassion.
I earned my Bachelor of Fine Arts in Musical Theatre Performance in 2019 and my Master of Social Work in 2024, both from Utah Valley University.
Outside of the therapy space, I enjoy spending time with my partner of seven years and our German Shepherd, Levi. I love traveling, hiking, paddle boarding, reading, and—true to my roots—putting on concerts in the car.
